Dyed silks with transfers and hand stitching.

My work is about recurrences and rhythm, about going over the same ground and seeing subtle difference not evident on the first visit.   Seeing surprises in the seemingly mundane is the prize for the repeat viewing.

My works on paper includes hand-dyed paper that is stitched, drawn upon, and or with beads or other media sewn on. These techniques, coupled with the translucency of the paper, create layers of surface with different elements from the stitching and dying peaking out in different places.
